Practiced with classmate Leon Hochman and 62 Mumford grad Richard Goldfine in Detroit from 1974 thru 1979, then relocated to San Diego. Semi-retired from practice in 2007. Now work two days a week at a Planned Parenthood facility and one day a week at a community clinic. I also do medico-legal consultations for attorneys.

Attended Kalamazoo College from 1961 to 64, then transferred to Wayne State in Detroit. Entered WSU School of Medicine in 1966 and graduated in 1970. OB/GYN residency at Sinai Hospital of Detroit from 71 to 74, then worked as described above.

My favorite activities at Mumford were the band and the swimming team. My band experience under director Jack Shelby was especially helpful in developing a sense of discipline which I badly needed at the time. Other most memorable teachers: Thaddeus Korcinski (history), Aaron Gornbein (Civics), Mr. Strepek (Chemistry). But of all the folks, the most memorable was our principal: C.E. Fraser Clarke.
